I believe that each person is a unique individual and should be treated as such, rather than by implementing a one-size-fits-all approach to health and nutrition. Holistic nutrition takes into account a client’s full health history, including their physical and emotional state as well as their diet and lifestyle habits to determine the causes of his or her health issues and to make recommendations for diet and lifestyle modifications to reset metabolism and to optimize all aspects of their health. I can assist in treating anything from food cravings, fatigue and sleep issues, autoimmune disease, digestive discomfort, and high blood pressure to any other health concern causing distress, as well as support general personal health, lifestyle, and fitness goals. I can also help to educate a client in food preparation, understanding nutritional labels at the store, and incorporating new ideas into menu planning.
I hold a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition from Pacific Rim College, the most comprehensive school in North America. Currently I individualize all aspects of clients’ concerns, conditions, lifestyle, and goals through nutritional protocol therapy in a clinical setting. I am also sports and fitness nutrition certified.
In a previous eight year career as a makeup artist for TV and film, I began to find my own health suffering under the pressures of high stress and long hours. My personal struggles with health inspired an interest in the holistic field to find answers for my own situation and to set me on a new journey to greater wellness. I am now passionate about sharing with others the knowledge I have acquired to optimize health and enjoyment in their own lives.
As part of my own health practice, I like to stay active by kickboxing four times a week. I also enjoy experimenting with recipes to find alternative ingredients and preparation details in order to maximize not only flavor but nutritional benefits.
