Over the past 15 years as a RMT and RAC I have loved being surrounded by so many amazing people. I feel blessed knowing that clients trust my professional opinion and seek my assistance when they are faced with physical difficulties and challenges. My vision has always been to provide my clients with a balanced approach to healthcare in a unique and nurturing setting. My dream has finally come true!
I began my journey with Traditional Chinese Medicine as a patient suffering from digestive issues, after years of different doctors, testing, and drawing blanks, I found acupuncture. A dedicated commitment to my health using acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine would rid my body of the symptoms, conventional medicine had deemed impossible to cure.
My name is John McPhee and I am passionate about being an RMT. Many years ago, while I was a carpenter’s apprentice, I badly injured my back and was inspired by those that helped me recover and decided to change careers.
I have been practicing massage therapy for over 5 years and continues to commit myself to an evolving evidence-based practice that best serves my patients. I believe in helping my patients take an active role in their recovery through therapeutic exercise and through open dialogue regarding their desired outcomes and the progression of their treatment plan.
I have studied under a broad and talented cast of therapists and professors and have been fortunate enough to practice in many assorted venues across the Lower Mainland. Working alongside talented chiropractors, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, and other massage therapists has helped cultivate my massage therapy skills and allowed me to create a unique therapeutic experience for my patients.
I always knew growing up that I wanted to learn about the body. I was fascinated with what humans are physically capable of and how the body could adapt to different requirements. I graduated from UWO with a kinesiology degree and continued on to Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy for manual therapy training which included clinical placements in sports, palliative, seniors, pregnancy, and stroke recovery settings.
